• Hi

  Trying to decided on a budget controller that is current, compact, touch-sensitive, light, decent looking and you guessed it – cheap (under $200). Download ableton 10 lite template for maschine mk2 2. I have Audio Kontrol 6 sound interface and no mixer, so it can be a controller only and it does need to have a fader/mixer. Perferably it will be compatible with traktor 2 pro and VDJ7.

  There are 2 controllers at the top of my list

  My research led me to

  Hard to find any information about the it although it seems identical to the Cntrl-7, just without the audio interface, which has been reviewed in depth here ( http://www.digitaldjtips.com/2011/10/review-video-gemini-cntrl-7-dj-controller/ ). I am willing to take the bite on it and test the waters.

  Can it be mapped and used with traktor 2 pro? I assume so because it is fully midi mappable. There aren’t any mapping available though as far as I can tell.

  So, lay off the volume and mute controls.You can avoid both of these issues by using an application such as Ambrosia Software’s $69 or Rogue Amoeba’s $32. Mac os garageband record skype soundflower. Additionally, if you change your Mac’s volume, that change will be captured by the application that’s recording Soundflower’s sound.

  Saying your preferences, like 'I like software X better' is ok. Do I really need to explain this?. Ableton live 9 suite crack.

  can you guys please help me decide here? I am leaning toward the Gemini because I think I can get all the buttons to work, it is a pretty crammed though.

  Most people will recommend the Numark Mixtrack but it isn’t as compact as I’d like it to be, plus I don’t really scratch that much.

  Have you had your hands on any of these? Any other controllers I should consider? Should I go for a used VCI-100 ? (god forbid not the mk2 :< )

  We’ve yet to review the DJ tech controller. Both are mappable.

  If I were you I would use the keyboard on the computer until I could buy at least an
  Numark Mixtrack Pro. That is the only low budget controller I could recommend
  and still be able to sleep at night.
  The others all have issues from what I’ve heard from a big dealer and are to me low quality toys.

  Hercules Control Air comes out next month. Looks pretty decent at around $170.

  There’s quite a bit more to be had in the $250 range, like the Reloop Mixage.
