I'm fairly new to Ableton so I'm sure there is an easy fix for my problem that I just haven't discovered, but I digress. When I attempt to automate certain parameters, I click on the knob so that parameter is displayed for automation. In some cases, however, the automation bar (if that's what you call it) is automatically set at 100%, disallowing me from higher automation. When this happens, I lower the knob in massive and adjust my automations, but then I encounter another problem. The full range of automation, 0 to 100%, does not map to the full range of the parameter, so I can only automate the parameter to a certain point, usually at most 50% of the parameter's range. This is really limiting. I hope you guys can understand what I'm saying and if anyone could help out that would be greatly appreciated!
How do i record knobs??? So I'm working in session view and trying to adjust the auto filter. I'm trying to use a knob on my midi keyboard instead of drawing it in, but its not recording when I do it that way. How to map a knob to active selection. So I haven't ben able to find an answer to this, and I don't really know much about mapping in Ableton. Basically, I want the active parameter I have selected (Say I have select intensity in massive or track panning in the mixer) to be able to be changed with the knob on my novation launchkey.
